I am an Assistant Professor at the Department of Life Sciences, University of Coimbra, and leader of the group of Plant Ecology and Evolution, Centre for Functional Ecology of the same institution. I am interested in the evolution of diploid-polyploid groups, in particular in the origin, maintenance and consequences of polyploidization, and in the evolution of the plant genome.
